My fear is not that i am inadequate or that someday i could not achieve greatness. I  heard a quote once that some people are born great some people achieve greatness and others have greatness thrust upon them without asking or a clue that they have to carry something that big.

I am not at a point in my life where i can say i am great nor can i admit to being great but i aspire even with my flaws even with the mistakes i have made or the wrong turns i have taken i still hope to find that greatness in whatever size it will come in.

I was only but a little girl not so long ago where life seemed like a fairytale, a significant moment of pure innocence a joyous occasion of what felt like heavenly bliss. A time in ones life where worry had not been defined and where the fear of the unknown was more like the hope of the future, the excitement of growing up and fulfilling childhood ambitions, but i soon learnt…..

My fear was not that i was growing up nor did it have anything to do with where i was going because i knew i was on a journey and not a destination. However, even at a tender age where none of this mattered at the time it was something that was to become inevitable…. Life’s experiences and choices.

We all want to at some point in our lives define experience and choice. We wonder why they are so important, what exactly are their purposes, but as we grow older and wiser, we start to develop new ideals. We gain more understanding and we embrace things more enthusiastically.

 An experience really, can be anything you risk doing or participate in. It could also just be a feeling or incident you go through.

Choices………… the opportunity or power to make your own decisions. Sounds like freedom, but the freedom to do what exactly? Only you can define choice for yourself and how you define it is how you define your life. Either you’re paving your way to something fulfilling or choosing to stay stagnant. The choice is ultimately yours with guidance from the lord.

The “Growing stage” is where i am. It’s where we all are because we grow everyday, we learn new things everyday, and we aspire to flourish like flowers everyday. Experiences and choices are things I face on a daily basis.

I don’t claim to make the right ones all the time but from whatever experience i encounter i learn something new.

I have learnt that failure is painful but from it you grow wiser and strong, I have also learnt that time heals all wounds; even if it’s not all at once eventually you find peace. I have learnt that heartache is just part of life. It teaches you that while there is happiness, there is sadness and even with that sadness at the end of the tunnel there is joy.

I continue to learn, i continue to embrace. Life is about living, embracing and enjoying but remembering what is right, what is wrong and what can be avoided by choice.
